The mill was purchased by the Crouse family in 1889. Raymond E. Crouse, son of Wilson, worked the mill his entire life, discontinuing the making of flour by water power in 1964. In 1965, Crouse was selling cornmeal for 35 cents/5 lbs. and the mill was capable of producing 200 pounds of flour/hour.
